SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is located in the Information Management and Technology Directorate (IM&T) within the Office of the Director of Administration & Management (ODA&M) working directly with the Pentagon Area Customer Council (PACC) in support of the IM&T Directorate's mission to deliver a world-class IT experience as an OSD enterprise to enable the highest levels of DoD leadership decision making. Candidates will provide meeting management, meeting execution, meeting facilitation, agenda development, and senior leader stakeholder engagement and coordination. The position requires familiarity with the Pentagon, DoD organization/structure, and senior leader decision-making; the ability to work in fluid environments with evolving direction; and experience interfacing with DoD senior leaders.

For support to the PACC, specific tasks include:

  • Organize and execute the PACC Planning and Coordination Cell (PCC).
  • Facilitate discussion and ensure all topics are prepared and ready for presentation to the PACC.
  • Synchronize plan of action and milestones compliance with the Components' activities.
  • Develop and publish standardized strategic communications and track performance and asset management metrics.
  • Booking conference rooms.
  • Tracking and managing RSVPs & attendance.
  • Coordinating agendas, read-ahead materials, and meeting minutes.
  • Capturing, coordinating, and disseminating meeting minutes.
  • Using tools and portals that link and integrate authoritative data sources for tracking, monitoring, and reporting on senior decision making.
  • Stakeholder coordination across OSD.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Pentagon experience at the OSD, Joint Staff, or Service level.

Experience with DoD governance forums, meeting management and execution, and senior leader stakeholder engagement, preferred.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline relevant to the position plus at least 8 years of professional experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • In-depth familiarity with OSD organization and decision-making and the ability to work in fluid environments with evolving direction.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work in support of DoD senior leaders.
  • Expertise in decision support, metric development and comparison, and other data-based capabilities for use in the effective management of a complex organization with multiple lines of functional activities.
  • Focus on operational and project performance/improvement with knowledge of tools that enable effective decision-making processes.
  • Secret clearance required at date of hire.
