About Children's Minnesota
Children's Minnesota is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children's serves kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, 12 primary and specialty care clinics and six rehabilitation sites. The Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech) assists the physician during invasive cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. The Cardiovascular Technologist primarily specializes in the monitoring of physiologic data received during cardiac catheterization. They are may also assist as a scrub assistant and provide support for radiologic procedures. The CV Tech performs as a functionally independent member of a high performance work team. The CV Tech is responsible for taking call. The CV Tech will not work with X-ray equipment until the RCIS credential has been achieved.
Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Technology program. 2-3 years experience preferred. Pediatric experience desired. RCIS credential required. New graduates must obtain the RCIS credential within one year of hire or when exam qualifications have been met. BLS required.
