About Children's Minnesota
Children's Minnesota is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children's serves kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, 12 primary and specialty care clinics and six rehabilitation sites. Additionally, Children's is Minnesota's only Level I pediatric trauma center inside a hospital dedicated solely to children. The Radiology department provides a complete range of sedated and nonsedated diagnostic imaging procedures for major and minor pediatric surgery, disease, or injury. Twenty-four hour consultation services as well as education and outreach programs are available.
The Radiologic Technologist provides health care services using X-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques producing images for interpretation by and at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
ARRT certification as a radiologic technologist.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
