We currently have an opportunity for a Plant Electrical Specialist at our manufacturing facility in South Boston, Virginia.

Your Role:

As a Plant Electrical Specialist you will repair and maintain plant equipment using your Programmable Logic Controller and Programming knowledge in order to ensure we reach maximum operation goals. You will have the opportunity to:

• Make safety your number one priority by driving our safety initiatives
• Update and maintain programs on all Programmable Logic Controllers in the plant
• Recommend safety improvements, process improvements, OEE improvements, and costs savings initiatives
• Keep pace with changing technology by continuously learning

Ultimately, you will play an important part in our production process and you will help us maintain our status in the industry by ensuring that we are making quality products. We need you to have:

• Diploma in a related industrial electronics field
• 10 Years work experience in the electro-mechanical trade in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of maintenance techniques for electrical and mechanical systems
• Advanced training in PLC programming, including at least 3 classes
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and 12 hour shifts

Icing on the cake:

• Knowledge of robotics and automation (Allen Bradley)
• Knowledge of servos, analog, and sercos
• Knowledge in communications including ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet
