We currently have an opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic located at our manufacturing facility in Temple, TX.

$25.00/hour starting with opportunities for advancement.

Your Role:

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will keep us on track for our operation plans and look for ways to positively affect Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. You will have the opportunity to:

Make safety your number one priority by driving our safety initiatives Troubleshooting equipment as needed and recommendations to strategic plans Coordinate corrective equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance Responsible for all Facilities related daily checks including mechanical and electrical room, air compressors, dryers, chillers, condensation systems, and documentation of safety inspections Tasked with ownership of Facilities related maintenance, including compressors, dryers, cooling towers, chillers, air handlers, HVAC, condensation systems, building and grounds, fire response systems, lighting, plumbing, boilers system, trash compactors, dock and roll-up doors. Organize office repairs including painting, plumbing, lighting, walkways, etc. Identify and source parts needed for repair All other duties as assigned by direct supervisor. We need you to have:

Electrical (including 480 volt, 3 phase) HVAC (including building management control systems) Knowledge of how industrial air compressors function and should be maintained. Knowledge of maintenance for water cooling towers and chiller systems. Knowledge of maintenance needed for boiler systems. Knowledge of how plant fire suppressants systems operate and are maintained. Experience replacing or rebuilding pumps. Mechanical (Can use basic hand tools) Ability to oversee work of facility system contractors. This includes requesting quotes, providing detailed scope of work, creating purchasing requisitions, organization of the job with the contractors, coordination with the operations of the plant, and ability to provide follow up feedback to the contractors. Ability to climb ladders and multiple stairs as needed. Computer experience for emailing, organizing work orders, completing computer based training as needed, and for the ability to learn programs that aid purchasing parts or track facility inspection audits. Must have good customer service skills and be able to effectively interact with all departments. Ability to work and plan facility maintenance for some holiday shutdowns. Ability to manage time well, meet timelines, prioritize, and deliver results. Must be self-driven Highly organized Icing on the cake:

Experience in a manufacturing facility Associates degree or another degree/certificate in a related field

HVAC certification Journeyman certified electrician
