JOB SUMMARY:
As Director, K-12, you will be responsible for ensuring achievement of territory objectives and coaching, developing and resulting performance of our K-12 education field sales team.
You are a high performing leader with a strong drive, hunger to win and a proven track record of success. You thrive on building, leading, developing and coaching a high performing sales team and will manage a team of up to five individuals. You’re an expert in managing an entire sales cycle including lead generation, cold calling, demos, presentations and employ a solution selling methodology preferably and bring diverse experience in the software sales industry. You are hands on, spending time in the field, coaching and training sales executives through the sales process.

HOW WILL I MAKE AN IMPACT?
- Team development: skill development plans for team members based on identified skill, product knowledge and pipeline management gaps.
- Pipeline generation: Assist and provide guidance in preparing territory target and prospecting plans with team members.
- Pipeline and deal management: Provide deal level coaching and feedback on pipeline and/or renewal opportunities.
- Team forecasting: Assist team members to prepare quarterly and monthly forecasts.
- Provide strategic guidance for Business Development and Marketing teams in aid of growing pipeline.
- Challenger development: Coach and mentor team members on adoption of customer mindset sales methodology and skills.
- Team leadership: Provide direct support to VP on team organization, territory assignment, strategic planning, and other projects as assigned.
- Able to assist team in key situations and is influential in resolving problems and conflicts.
- Hire and recruit for new talent and play a key role in onboarding and training new employees

- Responsible for supporting vision, planning and defining team objectives, and leading execution of objectives
- Work with your peers and leaders to drive productivity, efficiency, and hold team accountable for high quality outcomes
- Play key role with interviewing, hiring and onboarding new team members. Provide expertise and coaching/mentorship to the team members.
- Produce and actively participate in knowledge sharing as well as professional development initiatives
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Experience selling complex software, SaaS or IT products and services in mid-market or enterprise accounts
- 5+ years experience leading and building high performance sales teams
- Accountable and metrics driven. You’re able to forecast accurately and deliver consistently.
- Excellent coach and communicator
- Experience leading a team that is passionate about sales approaches based on business value, ROI and solutions for the customer.
- Proven track record of crafting sales strategies and building and executing on territory plans
- Knowledge of the K-12 education landscape in Canada and the US is an asset.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree
