Department Overview

The Children's Minneapolis Clinic is seeking an outpatient Pediatrician to join their team. The clinic provides a range of services from well-child care to educational and outreach programs. They care for children with complex medical, psychosocial problems, and acute and chronic childhood illnesses. They also provide developmental, behavioral, nutritional assessment and guidance, and parent education.

The Children's Minneapolis Clinic is a diverse urban outpatient clinic that sees over 20,000 visits annually with 9 physicians and 6 APRNs. Children's offers w rap around services including Integrated Behavior Health providers, access to Adolescent Health providers and Community Connect. We offer i n-clinic support of child life, pharmacy, and interpreter services.

License/Certification/Registration required? Yes
* Board BE/BC in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics.
* Completion of an ACGME Accredited Fellowship program, per sub specialty requirements.
* Board BE/BC in Sub Specialty, if applicable. Ability to be successfully credentialed by both Hospital and 3rd Party Payers.

Required Education:
* Must have an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from another country with a current Minnesota Medical License or the ability to obtain one.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Clinical competency and expertise in caring for hospitalized children.
* Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
* Knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.
* In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Respect for patient's confidentiality.
* Compassionate and approachable.
* Responsible and trustworthy.

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. Children's Minnesota requires proof of COVID-19 vaccine, and as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), immunity to vaccine preventable infectious diseases, prior to employment.
