Job Summary

The Project Manager (PM) in the Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for overall planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and delivering all projects assigned by the PMO, in conformity with the Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and guidelines and PMO-defined methodology. The PMO PM is accountable for effective and efficient management of all allocated project resources, as well as timely management of project risks and issues, change requests, baseline, metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – with focus on meeting the chartered project success criteria and constraints.

The PMO PM, Enterprise Infrastructure relies on continuously leveraging his/her knowledge, experience and expertise to successfully deliver projects that deploy, extend, update/upgrade or replace Enterprise-level infrastructure platforms and infrastructure management tools, including domestic and international offices.


This role will require interface with program and department leads, sponsors, different levels of management, and other stakeholders as necessary, along with some domestic travel to visit with key stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

• Provide project management in all PMI-defined areas: scope, schedule, cost, quality, communication, staff resources, risk, procurement, stakeholder, integration.
• Manage projects throughout their life cycle: pre-initiation, initiation, planning, execution, closing.
• Manage assigned projects applying a structured PMO-defined methodology approach, to ensure meeting project success criteria and constraints.
• Manage high-visibility/importance aspects and processes of project engagement, including: customer satisfaction, organizational change, project budget, project schedule, stakeholder relationships and communications, vendor relationships, project change control, risks and issues, project success.
• Enable project teams/sub-teams (IIE and providers/suppliers) to accomplish their work and successfully complete their deliverables.
• Actively monitor and correct deviations from project baseline – escalate when necessary.
• Report regularly on project status, metrics and KPIs; also provide ad-hoc reporting requested by the PMO or project stakeholders.
• Document project lessons learned on an ongoing basis throughout the project.
• Participate in definition of PMO methodology, including: policies and practices, process flows, templates, tools, lessons learned for Knowledge Base.
• Demonstrate adoption and application of PMI standards and guidelines, and PMO methodology.
• Act as a spokesperson for the PMO and champion of the PMO-defined methodology.
• Act as a Change Agent for introduction, dissemination and adoption of professional project management practices, as well as transition to an organizational culture of excellence in project management and increase of organizational maturity/capability level.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management required, including delivery of large, complex, high-visibility, enterprise-level infrastructure projects (or parts/phases of such projects) – such as: network deployment/extension, office infrastructure deployment/upgrade, SSO integration/upgrade, telecom implementation/rollout etc.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI required.
• Demonstrated customer focus/orientation with strong ability to build rapport.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral – including presenting to executive stakeholders.
• Professional and methodical approach to project management practice.
• Experience managing system development, implementation, enhancement, integration, migration, consolidation projects.
• Experience and certification(s) in a variety of methodology approaches a plus – including one or more of the following: SDLC, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, ITIL, ADKAR etc.
• Experience motivating and managing project teams of various sizes and roles, including internal and external resources, while holding team members accountable for performance.
• Experience leading standard project meetings (e.g. Kickoff, Closeout, IPT/Exec Steering), providing typical project reporting (e.g. status, metrics, KPIs), managing project schedules & budgets, coordinating technical and non-technical resources, engaging internal and provider teams.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer-facing consulting capacity preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a PMO/Center of Excellence environment preferred.
• Experience working with government agencies preferred.
• Working knowledge of Information Security a plus.
• Working knowledge of EVM and project status reporting using EVM indicators a plus.
• Working knowledge of OCM a plus.
• Microsoft (MS) tools user experience a plus: Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project, Visio, SharePoint (SP), DevOps.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary Range:$90.314 - $109,190. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
