The Lead Security Technician, Enterprise Accounts, is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating activities relating to Projects, Work Orders, Change Orders and Service Orders to ensure services are provided accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations. The Lead Security Technician is accountable for the overall success of the technical elements in Enterprise installations and service orders. To that end, this individual interacts directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors, subcontractors and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation and resolution to service orders. The Lead Security Technician will assist with managing the coordinating of activities within installation to ensure that Kastle system install or change orders are provided accurately and on time and that these services meet or exceed client expectations. Leading to and during the implementation, the Lead Security Technician provides a single point of contact for client representatives, installation team and field dispatchers, to ensure timely and accurate sharing of information to support smooth and efficient system installations, service and repair solutions. Lead Security Technician tests, troubleshoots and repairs all aspects of our security systems including access control, and video systems at customer sites. The Lead Security Technician ensures that service orders are completed accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations.



Responsibilities

  • Assist Kastle’s technicians and subcontractors in installing, testing and troubleshooting new and existing access control, security and video systems within the US and international.
  • Install, service and repair Kastle access control, security components and IP Video Systems within the US and international.
  • Ensure that systems are installed properly and on time in accordance with Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
  • Provide IP/Internet/Networking/IT systems expertise to support teams and clients, in particular, configuring, maintaining and repairing Kastle’s IP-based Video solution and should have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and application components.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the fundamentals behind the Internet and its workings (OSI model, DNS, Security, IP Routing, TCP/IP Protocol, VPN, Firewalls, Port Forwarding, Spanning Tree Protocol), LAN, and WAN.
  • Train subcontractors and new Kastle technicians on Kastle specific installs.
  • Provide accurate documentation for completed work in FSM, CRM and emails.
  • Provide feedback and information to identify any potential barriers to timely execution of the project, such as construction delays or changes.
  • Communicate with Managers, Customer Success Managers, Client Services, Field Dispatcher, Project Managers and/or Sales Representatives to resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Communicate with customers, customer representatives, contractors and Kastle staff as necessary to install and test equipment.
  • Stay up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology as well as internal processes and procedures.
  • Travel required – 30%


Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience with Alarms, Computers Access Control, CCTV, and Networking.
  • Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility and carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of IP, Ethernet and networking protocol and Cat5 technologies.
  • Professional construction experience and knowledge of door hardware, electric and mechanical locking devices and building codes pertaining to construction, fire and electrical systems.
  • Aptitude in basic programming.
  • Solid understanding of AC/DC theory.
  • Thorough knowledge of electronic testing equipment, hand, and power tools.
  • Experience with video cameras, lenses, DVR, NVR and video management
  • Ability to perform detailed work, being careful about detail and being thorough in completing tasks.
  • Ability to come up with relevant and creative ideas, analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution.
  • Demonstrated self-composure, adaptability, persistence, a high tolerance for stress and unquestionable integrity.
  • Ability and desire to work well with others.
  • Ability to write and maintain accurate daily records.
  • Ability to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and/or nights when required.
  • Ability and knowledge to use computer and effectively use Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook and other Kastle internal tools to facilitate business processes
