Position Purpose/Summary

The Construction Coordinator is committed to providing the highest quality of service to the communities, customers, and employees we serve by organizing, tracking, and managing all types of telecommunications projects. High level duties involve allocating task, setting goals and deadlines, handling documentation and consulting with customers. This position is responsible for managing multiple major projects potentially involving all operational groups within the company.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
  2. Apply project management and conflict resolution processes to handle assigned projects.
  3. Manage projects through to successful completion.
  4. Prepare reports for a timely briefing on status of all projects for the Project Manager.
  5. Identify and propose projects that will assist the business units in achieving their objectives.
  6. Effectively utilize project management tools to track and report project status to management on a regular basis.
  7. Produce reports; progress, scheduling, cost, scope, earned value, and other areas of the projects.
  8. Assist in the documentation process of procedures utilized throughout the company.
  9. Inspects and addresses QC checklists concerns to ensure installation of fiber/cable, conduit, pedestals, grounding, and protectors is compliant with company policy
  10. Builds and maintains positive relationships with contractors, communicates regularly to enforce accountability to production expectations, KPI metric adherence, invoicing accuracy, receive and track change order requests, and proper material management and reconciliation
  11. Liaise with Senior Leadership on project status including project status, budgetary compliance, and ensuring projects stay on track to meet company growth expectations
  12. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

At a minimum, the Project Coordinator must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field along with 3+ years of project coordination experience or 5+ years of related experience and a valid driver’s license. Project Management Certifications are preferred but not required.
