The Chief Transformation Officer (CTO), spearheads and leads large-scale organizational change initiatives aimed at transforming the business to adapt to market shifts, technological advancements, and strategic imperatives. In partnership with the full executive leadership team, ensures that organizational projects are selected, prioritized, and resourced, based on the strategic priorities and available capacity of the organization. This role leads organizational change management, providing leadership, structure, and direction to change management initiatives, ensuring effective planning, coordination, communication, and implementation. The CTO in partnership with ELT develops M&A strategy identifying opportunities to accelerate PLTW's strategic growth priorities by leveraging business acumen, research, and analytics to monitor and assess market trends. Regular travel is required.


RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT LEADERSHIP

  • Creates project management strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and lead the project selection with transparency, utilizing consistent criteria against which both new proposals and ongoing projects are assessed.
  • Partner cross-functionally ensuring effective communication and coordination across projects.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and efficiency of project management processes.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Champion team excellence through training, best practice adherence, workflow refinement, and accurate scoping.

ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE MANAGEMENT

  • Provide leadership and direction to change management initiatives, ensuring they are well-coordinated and effectively implemented.
  • Identify and engage with stakeholders at all levels and across the organization to ensure buy-in, address concerns, and gather feedback.
  • Develop and implement effective change related communications, strategies, and timelines.
  • Ensure that change initiatives align with and reinforce the PLTW's mission, culture. and values.
  • Plan and equip PLTW Team Members with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate and adapt to change.
  • Establish KPIs to measure the success of change initiatives; monitor the progress of change management initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to support success.

CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend external programs, assets, and companies in our core as well as adjacent markets for potential M&A opportunities.
  • Lead market and company due diligence and research, leveraging internal subject matter experts and external advisors to develop recommendations.

LEADERSHIP

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high performing team, equipped to successfully lead and influence cross functional projects and initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and recommend potential opportunities to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within area of expertise.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in business administration or related/ relevant field of study.
  • 7-10 years' experience leading project and change management initiatives at scale
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Change Management certification
  • Experience effectively coaching, leading, and managing the work of others.
