Job Title: Maintenance Tech

Reports To: Manufacturing Engineer

General Overview:

will perform general maintenance, repairs, and installation for the production equipment (Cutworx and Zund CNC machines, gluers, heating & forming equipment, dies and punches) and facilities including pneumatic (air compressors), plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and other building systems. Support production by constructing jigs and cutting all-thread to length at the discretion of the Manufacturing Engineer.

This position will be based out of Grand Prairie, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
    • Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems and machines.
  • Performs non-specialized facility equipment installation.
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities including janitorial removal of trash.
  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineer.
    • Including but not limited to:
      • Wood shop production support.
      • Metal cutting production support for all-thread.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Related experience preferred.
  • Average skills of Excel. Must be able to work with and across spreadsheets and apply basic mathematical operations.
  • Previous CNC light programming/setup/operation
  • 1-2 years of on-the-job experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
