NYC - 1211 Ave of the Americas Full time Job_Req_41432 Job Description: The Wall Street Journal is looking for a social video producer to create short-form vertical videos. As part of our social media team, you will produce vertical videos for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat. You will work with journalists around the newsroom to produce compelling social video that showcases the best of WSJ for new and existing audiences. You will be involved in all steps of production: conceptualization, scripting, shooting, editing and distributing. This team works directly with reporters and editors, as well as our video team to create engaging short, social-first breaking news, feature and original videos. You should be a self-starter who understands the needs of audiences across multiple platforms and is able to work independently under deadline pressure. Dedication to high journalism standards and excellent video editing skills are required. You should have experience with video editing software, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe InDesign and/or other relevant tools. Animation skills are a plus, and so is comfort being on-camera. You should also have deep knowledge of video-driven social platforms.
