Alfred State College has an opening for a Welding Lecturer at the Northland Workforce Training Center in Buffalo NY, to start August 2024.

The Candidate will be able to present well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus and school policies. Welding Faculty position will have knowledge in all welding processes, along with Blueprint reading and Welders Calculations. Candidate will perform in both a lecture and laboratory format. Pipe welding or structural steel a plus. CWE/CWI certification preferred or willing to acquire CWE/CWI Certification. Provide the student with timely information and feedback on his/her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, projects, and maintain accurate records of student academic and attendance performance.

Continually promote students' development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making.

Job Requirements:

Preference giving to applicants with an Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree along with 5 years of hands-on Welding Technology employment OR 7 years minimum employment in Welding Technology.
