Position Summary

As an Ophthalmologist at Children's Minnesota, you will provide primary vision care ranging from vision testing and correction to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of vision disorders.

This position may also require on-call ophthalmology trauma coverage for Children's as well as presentation on-site at Children's in accordance with the guidelines established by the American College of Surgeons ("ACS") for Level 1 trauma centers.

License/Certification/Registration required? Yes
*Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology or the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology or Successful completion of an ACGME-or AOA-accredited residency or fellowship in ophthalmology

Education:
*MD or D.O., MBBS or equivalent required

Experience:
*Documentation of the evaluation and management of 100 patients with ophthalmologic disorders in the past 24 months or
*Documentation of the performance of at least 50 ophthalmologic surgical procedures in the past 12 months or
*Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated formalized ophthalmology residency or clinical fellowship related to ophthalmology in the past 24 months

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.
