School Based Prevention and Early Intervention Program SBCS' mental health prevention and intervention program – known as Dinosaur School – is a free program for children and parents designed to strengthen a child's social-emotional skills and provide a strong foundation for their academic success. Parent and small groups are offered in addition to monthly activities for the whole family. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, Program Director, and Department Director, the Promotor(a) will function as a community outreach specialist and Incredible Years Parent Group leader. This includes outreach and engagement on campus and in the community to determine prevention needs, as well as enhance family wellness, strengthen resilience, and reduce disparities in accessing mental health services. The Promotor(a) will work toward reducing stigma and discrimination, and helping families make connections with their children's schools and other services/supports in the community. Services will be in keeping with the agency goals, objectives, mission, and style provided within a team framework. DUTIES:
