Overview

This is a hybrid role that is highly consultative and attends regular meetings at a variety of Legacy locations across the Portland Metro area. On days that onsite activity is not scheduled, individuals in this role may work from remotely.

All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new employee orientation.

The Manager, Donor Communications and Services, is responsible for devising and executing innovative communication strategies, overseeing donor data management, ensuring robust donor engagement, and acquiring and retaining annual giving donors.



Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in communications, data management or fundraising across multiple channels like direct mail, online, and digital.
  • Demonstrated expertise in donor data management, communication strategies, budgetary oversight, and engaging annual giving donors is highly valued.

Skills:

  • Strategic Communication: Proficient in developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies for donor engagement across various platforms.
  • Donor Data Management: Demonstrated expertise in managing donor databases, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and leveraging data for strategic fundraising efforts.
  • Budget Oversight: Proven track record in budget review and management within fundraising or marketing contexts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial targets.
  • Engagement and Retention: Experience in engaging and retaining annual giving donors through targeted communication and relationship-building strategies.
  • Project Management: Ability to efficiently manage multiple communication projects, adapt to changing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Skilled in providing leadership and guidance to creative and professional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Communication Proficiency: Excellent oral and written communication skills, adept at tailoring messages for various donor segments and engaging diverse constituencies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word. Experience using donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge or CRM systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in data analytics, Excel, e-marketing programs, Sharepoint, and relevant software is an advantage.
