Overview

The Campagna Fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery supports one year of intensive and comprehensive post-graduate training in the care of pediatric neurosurgery patients. The fellow will be appointed as a Clinical Instructor at Oregon Health and Science University.

The fellow will actively participate in operative and clinical management of a broad range of pathologies, including neoplastic processes of the brain and spine, cerebrovascular anomalies, congenital disorders, craniofacial disorders, hydrocephalus, spasticity, epilepsy, spine pathologies, and trauma. In addition to operative activities, the fellow will be responsible for running the pediatric neurosurgery service, teaching residents and medical students, and participating in academic and didactic conferences.



Responsibilities

Applicants for the Pediatric Neurosurgery fellowship must have completed an ACGME-accredited residency in neurological surgery, be board-eligible for the American Board of Neurological Surgery certification, and have a doctor of medicine degree in keeping with the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Pediatric neurosurgical Fellowships. Applicants must also meet the state of Oregon’s requirements for medical licensure.
