Job Summary
The person in this position will serve as a Nurse for the College of Dentistry, primarily at UK COD’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic. The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
This position will be responsible for providing care to patients during consultation, pre-op, surgery and post op. Will provide wound care to post op patients. The Nurse Clinician will monitor and record baseline, intra-op and post-op vital signs, as well as report any abnormal readings or other pertinent health history to provider. They will also coordinate patient care among multi clinics. This position will serve as a back-up nurse when necessary. Other duties include:
Ability to thrive in a fast paced high volume environment, accuracy, attention to detail, and patient care, knowledge of vital monitoring, time management, organization, teamwork.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience
ADN plus four or more years of related experience in dental procedures or nursing preferred.
