Job Summary

As a member of the SCI team, the IT Helpdesk reports directly to the Sr. IT Manager and will perform various functions within the IT department. The position ranges from desktop support to hardware repair to application support. This role is 100% in-office based, so candidates must be comfortable working in an office environment with other IT team members.


Roles and responsibilities

  • Flexibility in working with Apple and MS technologies.
  • Ability to learn new software and hardware technologies.
  • Superior documentation skills.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Must be able to use resources available to troubleshoot issues.
  • Must support the IT team in the maintenance of hardware, software and other systems.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues with equipment like printers, computers and servers.
  • Able to run software updates backups when requested.


Education / training requirements

  • Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Working understanding of computer networking and protocols.
  • Experience in database management or programming a plus.
  • Must be able to take direction well and be motivated self-starters.
  • Must be open to learn new technologies.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Customer service focused.

Other requirements

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Able to work and communicate well with people at all levels in the organization.

  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
