Job Description


Manages company assets through leadership of maintenance planning, risk & strategy, NERC compliance, reliability reporting and capital and expense delivery to improve asset performance. Establishes strategic business objectives, strategies, and plans in support of company strategic goals. Manages and allocates financial and employee resources. Implements and supports company programs and policies.


Responsibilities


Responsibilities of this position include the following:

Manage the centralized asset maintenance and compliance, asset investment and field inspection operational support group.

Manage the completion of risk assessment plans, asset serviceability reviews, and strategic asset analysis that feed into the development of the 10-year capital and maintenance investment plans.

Lead the development of capital and maintenance policies, asset life cycle analysis and the asset investment plan. Responsible for managing the investment planning group in the completion of detailed capital and maintenance plans.

Oversee maintenance planning activities including the development of annual maintenance work plans, tracking the delivering maintenance programs and ensuring maintenance records are maintained in accordance with company and compliance requirements.

Lead the asset investment group in oversight of asset investment programs and compliance.

Take responsibility for budget uploads, capital project authorization tracking, rate case support and capital forecasting.

Develop and deliver the reliability plan to achieve asset performance goals.

Develop policies, procedures and processes as needed to ensure ongoing compliance with assigned NERC reliability standards. Maintain key transmission and distribution system metrics and data in various databases. Lead activities focused on the scope review, optimization and approval of proposed capital projects and coordination of large customer interconnections.


Qualifications


Bachelors degree in engineering or or the equivalent combination of education and experience. (Typically, six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Advanced degree preferred.

A minimum of eight or more years of directly related experience including three years supervisory or leadership experience.

Ability to establish objectives, develop and execute policy, direct and monitor resources, and recommend and oversee development or implementation of systems, programs, or processes.

Leadership and teamwork skills to negotiate with and influence peers and management on policy and strategic issues.

Communication and interpersonal skills including ability to manage and motivate employees, use oral and written.
