Job Summary The Budget and Compliance Coordinator manages the Health Equity Bureau's (HEB) daily budget, financial, and operational support while developing continuous quality improvement solutions to internal operational processes and issues and participating in equitable grant and procurement legislative policy development. This role assists the Assistant Commissioner for Health Equity with budget and compliance initiatives and HEB internal budget management. This position provides leadership, coordination, consultation, and technical assistance to management analysts in the HEB for the design, implementation and monitoring of the Bureau's compliance with regulations, quality assurance and financial performance improvement activities. The position will also provide quality improvement, performance improvement, regulatory, and compliance expertise to ensure that HEB programs and services comply with federal and state regulations, legislative requirements, and applicable court orders. Projects managed are of high visibility and have agency-wide scope that may require long-term management of efforts and activities. The HEB works with large number of grantees and contractor and presents a large, complex, and challenging project management environment spanning across an array of programs, policies, protocols, practices, rules, laws, and various professional/technical specialties.
