JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for reviewing a variety of loans to ensure that bank lending policies and financial interests are maintained, and that all necessary supporting documentation is complete.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reviews a variety of loan requests to ensure that: (a) the loan request is properly documented; (b) bank audit policies are observed; (c) the loan is in the best interest of the bank; and, (d) supporting documentation has been thoroughly investigated.
- Works with originating loan officer to obtain additional documentation and become familiar with the loan.
- Works with bank's senior lending officials to define and review established credit policies, procedures, and criteria in view of new lending programs and customer requests.
- Summarizes status of portfolio quality and classified loans monthly and reports to President.
- Assists senior management in determining adequacy of loan loss reserve.
- Apprises each loan officer of the grade, quality, and condition of their loan portfolio.
- Performs other tasks requested by supervisor as they relate to the bank and its functions.
- Ensures confidentiality of all employee/customer records and information.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in banking, finance, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in commercial banking.
- Must have good communication and demonstrated supervisory skills.
- Must have good computer skills in MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to analyze complex financial information.
